Home heating specialist Bönisch in Gramastetten, Austria is building a new office and storage complex with a trapezoid layout. Contractor Schmid used the MevaDec and MevaFlex slab systems and MEP shoring towers for the trapezoid slabs, 30 cm thick and 260 m² large, part of which cantilever.
MevaDec: fewer filler areas
The MevaDec‘s drop-head, beam and panel method, used on this site, allows the panels and beams to be stripped early, saving inventory and speeding up workflow. More importantly, there is no fixed layout, so the forming direction can alternate – a big plus when adjusting to irregular layouts. This minimized costly compensation areas.
MevaFlex on MEP shoring towers for cantilevering slabs at 12 m
The biggest challenge was forming the cantilevering roof slab at heights of 9 to 12 m, for which the MevaFlex forms rested on high MEP shoring towers.
No subsequent costs
Contractor Schmid wisely opted for the rental insurance scheme RentalPlus, which covers all subsequent costs that are incurred at the end of a rental project, for instance for repairs and re-facing. A small fee covers all these costs, reducing rental time and costs. Calculation is clear from the start.
